Voyeur

I liked the movie Rear Window and I do see my self as a type of voyeur. I think that everyone is a potental voyeur because we all observe and gaze at different things, whether it is artwork or people. I do not get offended when being said to be a voyeur because I do not see any harm being done.

Power of the Gaze

I believe that the power if gaze can help us (the spectator) to notice tiny details and to appreciate the workers art to a higher extent. Also I think that the power of the gaze gives us different and unique ways of looking at a piece of artwork in the idea of transforming our thoughts and seeing new and different ideas. The more we look at a piece of artwork the more ideas and thoughts we have streaming about it, which in turn snowballs into other ideas.
